SEEK PEACE WITH ALL MANKIND

Jesus during his ministry and after his death regarded as paramount importance the co existence of his apostles in peace. Intermittently, he urged them to live amicably with one another. In John 14:27, He addressed them thus:
“ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you”
And in John 17:11 “And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one”.
So, as followers of Jesus, we are obligated to strive for peace no matter if we are wronged. The scripture actually in Matthew 5:23-24 instructed us thus: “Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering”.
The issue here is another person having something against you. So, as Christians, there is no justification for keeping malice with anybody; not even when the other party is at fault. Suffix it to say therefore, beloved brethren that we should strive to live in harmony with each other and have good thought for each other. Remember, the early Christians earned their name from the way they were relating with each other (Acts 11: 26). We are the present day Christians, let us therefore allow love, peace and harmony to reign within us in Jesus Mighty name I pray Amen.
